Accomplishments

  • Applied for AMSTI Robotics grant in 2020 and 2021 and was awarded both grants to implement Elba City School’s first Robotics program.
  • Created and designed curriculum to build a project based learning experience incorporating real-world scenarios for student engagement.
  • Worked closely with technology coordinator to implement a new Robotics Competition Team at Coppinville Jr. High School.
  • Founded and led comprehensive STEM (three years) and Science Fair (6 years) programs at DA Smith Middle school; along with, developing a robotics program for STEM classes through a partnership training acquired at Auburn University.
  • Founded Future City Team; Science Department Chair (four years); Grade Level Chair (three years); and various other leadership roles within the school at DA Smith in Ozark.
  • Designed and conducted a professional development on Classroom Management for DA Smith new hire’s in 2014; as well as, sat on CHAMPS committee for 3 years. Held a role on the CHAMPS committee at Coppinville.
  • Brought Student Government back for students to participate in 2013-2014.
  • Led our Science Department at DA Smith Middle School to become a part of the STEM-IQ grant with Auburn University. In 2016 the high school teachers joined these grant opportunities with myself as the chair within our school. I currently brought these same opportunities to Coppinivlle and was asked to and participated in joining Auburn University STEM-IQ Leadership to speak at the National Science Fair in Phoenix Arizona.
