Currently, I am working towards achieving my bachelor’s degree while also pursuing my interests in law and justice through studying criminology, the criminal justice system, and criminal law at an undergraduate level. My most recent experience was interning with the Sandy Springs Police Department, where I had the chance to observe how officers conducted their duties concerning the law, as well as how citizens' rights are respected. This helped to motivate further my desire to help victims having heard some of their stories. In the future, I hope to work as a paralegal in an organization that aims to assist people in being able to access justice. My perspective is that justice should not only focus on holding an offender accountable for their actions because, to me, it should also consider how victims are empowered to heal and gain closure.
