We feel we are outgoing Camp Host, with three years experience in welcoming visitors. We have a desire to ensure all visitors have an enjoyable experience while camping, Always making ourselves available whenever we are in the park. I feel we owe it to the visitor. to help them, to answer their questions and to provide information or give them directions. We believe visitors should never here "I am not on duty" or the booth is closed. We try to be a Host we would want if we were camping ourselves and never let a visitor feel they are a nuisance or that they are bothering us.

  • Managed the daily operation of the campground, logging into RECREATION .GOV (THE HUB), printed on-site reports, prepared the Rangers Report, and verified who was in each camp site.
  • Checked in-out guest who had reservations and helped to make reservations for walk-ups.
  • Self-motivated, skilled at Working Independently, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
  • Provided information about local activities, maps of the Row River Trail, and answered questions in helping to provide guests with a positive experience.
  • Encouraged campers to comply with the Park Rules and Regulations to create a safe camping atmosphere. Making it an enjoyable camping experience for everyone to enjoy.
  • We knew our role, it was to be a Host and to Inform guests of the Park Rules, not to enforce them. When it became necessary, we would call the Ranger that was on duty to handle unruly guests.
  • Cleaned, Sanitized, Re-Stocked the Restrooms, Cleaned the Showers, and emptied Trash Cans.

  • Discussed with Visitors the importance of historical sites, such as a lighthouse.
  • While staffing the Interpretive Center Desk we would provide Visitors with Tide Times, Park Brochures, Maps and suggested hiking trails through the park.
  • While Roving the park we would assist Visitors, give directions, answer questions, and help point out wild life.
