- Administer and titrate multiple drips including Insulin, sedation, Vasopressors, cardiac drips such as Diltiazem, Nitroglycerin, Cleveprex, Esmolol to name a few.

- Follow protocols for electrolyte imbalance, DKA, Heparin drips, Mass transfusions

- Work closely with critical care team and respiratory therapist in patients with respiratory failure. Monitor patients with chest tubes, and high flow,BiPAP,and ventilators. Respond to medical respiratory and cardiac emergencies.

-Monitor for neurologic status and changes. Participate in brain death testing. Manage organ support for organ donors, working closely with Lifelink.

-Assist physicians with invasive procedures such as bronchoscopies, central line placements, chest tube placement, bedside tracheostomies and PEGs.

-CRRT

- Our unit was the designated COVID ICU during 2020-2021

-Work closely with Hospice agencies that are caring for our patients transitioning to comfort care.
