  • Identified root cause and designed modification to correct turbine vibrations, extending lifecycle by three years and helping other peers with the savings of over $10M.
  • Managed planned outages, kept under budget aside minimum of findings triggering emergent scope costs usually included within contingencies to avoid major operational/financial impacts.
  • Supervised superintendents and engineering personnel engaged in preparation of plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications for improved maintenance and reliability.

  • One of various owner's representative during construction of the 454 MW Coal Fired Plant in the southeast coast of Puerto Rico: followed up on EPC contractor's Duke Fluor Daniel construction activities, focusing on the power block equipment, balancing of rotating equipment, fans, pumps, and limestone crushers.
  • Worked and completed the installation and startup of the boiler under the established time schedule.

  • Lead Engineer for Siemens Westinghouse startup of a 50 I F steam and combustion turbine at Marubeni's new power plant in Thermo Valle, Cali Colombia.
  • Lead Engineer for Siemens Westinghouse project in Whitewater Wisconsin: installation, commissioning and start-up of a one-on-one combined cycle power plant.
  • Supported the installation/commissioning of steam and gas turbines.
  • Project Mechanical Engineer for a turnkey Westinghouse project: Dominican Power Partner - Los Mina in Santo Domingo; oversaw installation, commissioning and startup of a new simple cycle power plant.
  • Disassembled, inspected, repaired and started up service units.
  • Assumed ownership of several departments: R&D, Engineering, Projects and Maintenance.
