- My father’s health unexpectedly failed too late in the year to rent the farm out, so I went home to make a crop. I managed 185 brood cows and 50 eating calves for butcher, 285 irrigated acres of peanuts, 50 acres of irrigated bahia, 70 acres of non-irrigated bahia grass for seed and hay, 4 center pivot irrigation systems, as well as many tractors and a grain combine. I am not an electrician but keep all of our stuff running from regular single phase to 3 phase 480 volt current. We run mostly older equipment so I mechanic daily and am highly skilled at it. I have experience running equipment ranging from 1976 4030 to a 3/4 million dollar cotton picker.

- I left college early to farm with my father and launch my own farm operation. I am highly skilled in combining Tifton 9 Bahia seed and have combined over 20,000 acres myself. In addition to being the owner and operator, I was also the one and only mechanic and regularly performed preventative as well as emergency repairs. I opened a farm and seed supply store where I was responsible for cleaning, bagging, and storing other farmers’ seed. This process involved sending seed samples off for testing, brokering deals between farmers and seed buyers, and the everyday maintenance of a seed cleaning factory.

- I enjoy getting up and going to work and am comfortable with hard work and long hours. Although my background is mostly agricultural, I have enjoyed success in the auto sales industry. I am a versatile worker who loves to work and succeed, but most importantly, see those around me succeed as well.
- I am very mechanically inclined, can operate many different kinds of machinery, and can perform maintenance and repairs on a multitude of equipment. I can operate and maintain center pivot irrigation systems and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and different types of pumps. I can deliver calves, sort cows in pens, as well as work the head chute and administer shots. I love driving semi-trucks and have experience operating different types of trailers such as dump, flatbed, hopper-bottom, drop deck, detachable, and ramp.
