I have been employed by the Tucson Police Department for ten years. I have been a Patrol Officer and a Zebra Officer during that time.
I have had exposure to all types of calls for service, assisted with community issues and engagement and most recently I have been awarded the Medal of Merit for my service in 2022.
I am still motivated to make a difference in my community as I police the side of town that I was raised in.
The following are a list of certifications and training that I have obtained from our Department:
- I am a paid Spanish Speaker
- I am a Lead Police Officer
- A Field Training Officer
- I am trained in Crisis Intervention
- I attended and completed the FBI hostage negotiation school
- I am a General Instructor
- I am Certifed in Razor Operation
- I operate a patrol rifle, bean bag shotgun, pepperball system, and 40MM
- I have attended Struggle Well
The above listed certifications and trainings have assisted me in the following tasks throughout my career.
While Working at the Pima County Jail, I was assigned to Administrative Segregation where I specialized in housing high ranking gang members and staff assaulter's.
After that assignment I worked for the Security Services Unit where I specialized in gathering intelligence from known gangs members, identifying gang members and monitoring their correspondence and video visits.
I ended my career with Security Services and moved on to the mental health unit. I housed Suicide watches and helped restored them to competency to stand trial or become a functional member of society.
