During my career I have worked as a subcontractor, general contractor, construction manager, project manager, estimator and an owner’s representative for a variety of projects across the United States. I have also dealt with dispute resolution and claims. All of my projects were completed and closed out with no claims or lawsuits. My goal on every project is to ensure that an owner is able to rely on the schedule and budget. I take great pride in closing my projects without any encumbrances. My experiences as a subcontractor and general contractor give me a unique ability to approach projects from both sides of the equation. These experiences have provided a wide variety of knowledge that supports estimating virtually any type of project. I am directly involved in expediting any design issues to ensure that progress on the project can continue. I work with contractors to provide solutions to an architect if possible, allowing for expedited turnaround from the architect. Having done projects across the United States for the federal government, I fully understand the importance of being able to deal with contractors and their unique personalities. Working with contractors in Hawaii is certainly different than dealing with a contractor in Mississippi. In closing, my past experience has given me a unique perspective to approach projects and view them from multiple angles. Depending on my role, I can assist owners to develop a project from beginning to the end, ensuring that their interests are indeed represented. In addition, I provide assessment/evaluation services on projects to review costs and claim assertions. With my unique background as a subcontractor, general contractor, and as an owner’s representative over a vast scope of projects across the country, I believe there is a practical approach to discovery utilizing my experiences in the various sectors of the industry.
