Ever since I was 16 years old I have a had job. Wether it was a summer job or winter job. Going from assisting electricians, to working in the deer processing industry has taught me many skills. Even selling Insurance for a short amount of time has taught me some skills. Now being in the marine industry I have learned a lot. From starting out at the bottom to working up to a lead deckhand has been a great journey. I am now looking for something that provides me more time at home and a job that I can put the skills I have learned to use. Also I am always eager to learn, and I love learning new things. I take my job very serious, and I am the ideal employee.
My time at canal barge has been great. I have learned many new skills, and I have grown overall. Not just as a worker, but also as a person. My duties at Canal Barge are to keep the vessel clean, build tow, line handling, make locks, teach new employees, paint the vessel, safety meetings, assist in fueling the boat, safety drills, and to log in safety meetings and supply orders into computer. Also at the end of every hitch we get a performance evaluation and I have yet to receive a negative evaluation.
Insurance was a career I thought I wanted to pursue, but I learned that the job was not for me. Although my time there was short my duties there were to sell life insurance, health insurance, and to sell life annuities.
During highschool and college I was self employed. I did yard work during the summer such as cutting grass, weed eating, landscaping, and managing properties.
During the winters of 2020 through 2022 I worked at Sugar Bears Deer Store. At Sugar Bears Deer Store my duties were butchering meat, processing meat, customer service, keep store clean, and to teach and assist new employees.
I worked as an assistant electrician while figuring out what career I was wanting to pursue. My time at Booker Electric was short but I learned and did many tasks. Such as, Electrical work, cleaned shop, assist electricians, and buy supplies for job.
