Develop and install Scripts for launching Creo and Windchill together
Set up Windchill Vaults to be SQL instead of Oracle and distribute to three servers’ system running MS Server 2022
Changed from LDAP to Azure Active Directory (AZURE AD)
Switched to Active Directory so that users did not have to login into two systems and made it more streamlined
Customize and develop a Custom CN process because Normal life cycle states In Work, Pending, Released, Revised, and Obsolete were used initially. Regulatory Compliance and Rework were added later.
Developed” Types and Attributes Management” so things like weight and measures, company special liquid measures, Customer names, Manufacturing Location, line location, inspection, purchase or buy allocation, and shipping packaging and containers for offshore
Develop EBOM’s, Mbom’s and MPM Links for manufacturing. This also included SUMA at the vendors
Set up Source Intelligence for Supplier Compliance… FMVSS, PFAS,UL, CSA, and etc
Custom WT Parts were developed so that you can tell if it was a master assembly or a subassembly. The WT Parts had Special colors for the WT Part not just Grey WT Parts.

CAD Administrator/ Systems Engineer
Volvo Trucks North America-Greensboro NC
Greensboro
07.1997 - 03.2004
Windchill Technical Committee Chairperson. Here I was involved with the development of future release of Windchill starting with 6.2 moving thru 7.0 and most recently working on the new version X10 of Windchill. Here we had a large obstacle to address with WAN and the current performance in 6.2 was slow for releasing large assemblies thru the WAN. We improved the performance of releasing large object in a WAN environment. Thus creating a “real time” experience for releasing product.
Support Pro/ENGINEER and data management files for all of engineering
Monitor the network system performance between Greensboro and Sweden.
Enable concurrent engineering environment throughout the Volvo enterprise by developing web sites for maintaining critical data
Developed an automated program to create frame rails and components using existing customer purchase orders.
Unleashed a dramatic productivity gain within the engineering department by creating “Master Model Process” utilizing Pro/Program. This allowed Volvo to use E-builds instead of paper to verify the design. Manufacturing benefited as each module became a single cell on the production line.
Develop “G” Code for the Robotic sprayers and 5 axis Milling Machines. Work with Cincinnati’s, Mazak, ABCo, ABB, Allen Bradley, Square D.
Very familiar with Powder Coating and Spray Booths
Sr. Mechanical Engineer/Systems Engineer
Thomas Built Buses- High Point NC
High Point
04.1995 - 04.1997
Implemented a new Product Data Management (PDM) system that queried the model metadata and controlled that data within the file. The metadata was then transferred to an automatic releasing system in PDM by the use of a C ++ Program. The metadata was changed in the model so that the parameter can be changed so that we can use a auto configurator to develop a new family of product. This saved the company money as we did not have to have a complete design staff for the changes. The money that was saved which was approximately $150,000. The money that was saved allowed us to purchase new equipment.
Developed the family of school buses with Freightliner Chassis. This was done with Pro/Engineer using Pro/Program and family tables. This program would ask a series of questions prior to building the model. This allowed us to develop school buses for each specific state and passenger arrangement. This allowed us to develop a model quickly so that the customer could approve of the bus and see their options on the bus. This saved the company countless dollars as they no longer had extra buses that customers would not take delivery on. Each Bus ran about$55,000.00
Developed a product structure group for positioning master modules by work cell verse the skeleton assembly so that can control the production lines and used Design Manger to develop zones for the top down design. The Advantage to this design is that you have claimed your space in the vehicle prior to conception of the parts. Great examples of this are loader arm linkages and the space claim during conception and animation. This also allows Mechanica Motion to work properly
Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer/ System Engineer
Cherry Electric/ Harley Davidson
Waukegan
01.1991 - 04.1995
Designed the handle bar controls for the 1993-2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle’s. This ranged from the low-end Sportster to the high-end Ultra Classic.
Introduced the use of Stereo Lithography Models (SLA). All of these models were done using Pro/ENGINEER. This saved the company money because you did not have to cut tooling a find out you need to make a change and a new tool is required.
Assisted conversions from various systems such as SDRC, CATIA, and AutoCAD into Pro/ENGINEER.
Utilized Rasna and Cosmos/M for Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Provided full training material for all the staff engineers.
Responsible for implementing Irix 4.0.

Designed and developed Rotary and Linear Actuators for the HVAC Industry. All Models were done in Pro/ENGINEER. I started my Pro Engineer career at revision 5.
Presently hold U.S Patent with Landis & Gyr. The patent number is 5,295,334. The description of the patent is a resistive stripe that can be installed either in the factory or in the field with the same the installation time. The Ink /Carbon filled stripe provide infinite resistance between the two Mylar films.
Developed functional spec for the testing rotary and linear actuators.
Developed an SPC program that performed X bar and R charts for implementing six sigma quality standards.

Marengo
11.1986 - 10.1990
Designed mechanical/electrical linear actuators. The development was in both AC and DC Actuators.
Taught Methods on Design of Experiments (DOE) and also Geometric Tolerancing.
Designed the actuators for the 9400, 9500, and 9600 John Deere Combines. This is the actuator that resides on the Concave. I later help design the actuators for the sieves.
Designed the actuator for the forager on the diverter chute. This actuator moves the chute from right to left
Developed actuator for the hay balers for Vermeer. This included the spring dispenser and well as the plastic cut off knife.
