- Responsible for pharmaceutical tracking and accountability of all controlled substances and other medications authorized and prescribed by the Medical Director.
- Analyzes and monitors inventory levels and orders supplies as needed for area hospitals.
- Coordinates daily supply orders for stations and oversees the delivery of these essential supplies in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensuring all stations are properly equipped with safety devices and supplies as recommended by EMI.
- Responsible for maintaining critical medical equipment including cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and ventilators.
- Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with vendors and those with whom the County has entered into a contract.
- Prepares reports and correspondence utilizing a variety of software programs.
- Researches and makes recommendations to Fire Rescue Management of technological advances that could benefit the Fleet Services and Logistics Bureau and the Department overall. Participates in any variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
