- As a surveillance officer, my duties were to ensure that the clients on home detention were following the rules set forth by the courts, including making home visits, ensuring clients were following the schedules the case managers set for them, administering field sobriety tests, and conducting searches. If the clients weren't following the rules, it was my duty to serve the warrant alongside other police agencies.
- Surveillance officers would also make house contacts to see if the residence would be a suitable place for them to go once they were released from jail. Adult probation would also utilize us field officers to make contact with people who were not keeping in touch with their probation officer, and we would also do house checks on their clients as well.
