  • “Exceeding Expected Growth” with an overall growth composite score of +4.38 during the 2023-24 school year
  • Jackson Park Elementary earned a School Performance Grade of a B for the 2022-23 school year, which was the first school in Kannapolis City School to receive this high of a Performance Grade in well over a decade
  • Jackson Park Elementary repeated the School Performance Grade of a B for the 2023-24 school year, maintaining the high level of student proficiency and growth
  • Launched Global Studies and Dual Language magnet programs during the 2021-22 school year, and expanded both programs during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.

  • Led students and staff in achieving “Exceeded Expected Growth” statues during the 2016-17 school year with a growth component of +4.08, and earned the highest school performance grade in the district and top 5% Growth Composite in the state.
  • Pioneered the MTSS process in Kannapolis City Schools, effectively installing a tiered system of support for all students and teachers in the areas of academics, social/emotional development, and behavior.
  • Served on the district level MTSS team, creating, evaluating, and refining systems of support in each of Kannapolis City Schools.
  • Led school and district level safe-schools teams in creating, evaluating, and refining systems of preparedness, communication, and response for potential school and community level crisis.
  • Led staff development training and school-wide implementation of the Blended Learning Model, and partnered with Apple in beta-testing the Schoolworks technology framework in facilitating and supporting Blended Learning instruction.
  • Utilized the Data Wise process to analyze formative and summative assessment data and worked with teachers to identify and employ research-based interventions throughout their lessons and curricular design.
  • Frequently monitored instruction and student learning, and evaluated the teaching staff at our school and provided consistent and constructive feedback to staff members.
  • Achieved PBIS Green Ribbon Status.
