I have been working in the Superior Court of Cobb County for the past 2.5 years, and I love working in the judicial system. I like knowing that I can help people have a positive experience with the Courts and want everyone who requires my service to leave an interaction with me feeling better than they did before.
As a Judicial Calendar Coordinator, I manage the civil caseloads of Judge Robert D. Leonard II, Judge D. Victor Reynolds, and Judge Sonja N. Brown. This entails scheduling civil domestic and non-domestic cases for various types of hearings. I correspond with lawyers and pro-se litigants daily, and manage anywhere from 50-100 different emails and calls everyday. I also assist the Judges that I work for in the courtroom during large calendar calls. I typically am the first point of contact when the public needs information about a case for each office.
As a courtroom clerk, I was tasked with assisting judges in the courtroom during calendar calls and hearings. Some of the things that I would do were drafting criminal sentence forms, organizing and recording evidence, and annotating the calendars. This job made me someone that can think very quickly on my feet, as the calendars in Cobb County are often very large and require the courtroom clerk to manage a lot of information at once.
I am someone who has a very easy time getting along with others I carry myself with a positive energy that I believe uplifts the people around me and makes them feel at their best I am an excellent communicator and enjoy interacting with new people everyday I am also very organized and do my best to make sure that I am keeping track of all my responsibilities and the information that comes along with them
