Shogun Customs has come to be known as a top tier and trusted brand in regard to custom firearms. We have our own line of Glock products such as slides, barrels, triggers, and other small parts. We also provide OEM services such as barrel porting, slide milling, stippling, and cerakoting. As the owner and operator, my duties include but are not limited to the following.

  • R&D for our line of products and services.
  • Finding ways to improve the function and ergonomics of our framework.
  • Design enhancements that improve the looks and performance of our products such as our slides, barrels, and triggers.
  • Website design and maintenance while also creating a strong web presence through SEO.
  • Continuing improvements to the Shogun brand by refining branding assets such as our logo, font, brand colors, website layout, product descriptions, naming conventions, and overall cohesion throughout the brand.
  • Create visually pleasing packaging to enhance product value.
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention.
  • Track trends in the custom market in order to further innovate and improve both our services and products.
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.

  • Consult customers on which parts to use for their rifle builds while showcasing all of our parts.
  • Take gun buyers through a Firearms Safe Handling demonstration to ensure they understand the operation of their firearm and then ask them to demonstrate it themselves.
  • Sand blasted AR parts to get them ready for cerakote.
  • Shop stippler. In this role, I would sit down with the customer and discuss their custom project from beginning to end. Everything from the modifications, aesthetics, expectations, and the lead times of their build.
  • Gunsmith assistant.
  • First time gun buyers in California are required to take a Firearm Safety Certificate test in order to purchase a firearm. I would grade those tests and issue customers their Firearm Safety Certificate card if they passed. This was done through the California DOJ system.
  • Conducted background checks for gun buyers.
  • Daily organization of shelves and wall displays to maintain visual appeal.
  • General cleaning of shop throughout business hours to ensure a comfortable and presentable environment for customers.
