A program where Native Spanish speakers get paired with English Speakers to teach Spanish to English speakers and to teach English to the Spanish Speakers.

I have been paired with a student from Mexico named Luis Valdez, and I meet with him twice a week and text him daily in both Spanish and English.

I tutor students for Calculus 1. Using various personalized tutoring methods, I teach students the basics of limits, derivatives, and integrals to help them prepare for higher levels of calculus and statistics.

• I aid the Fundraising Committee as an executive treasurer advising money operations, including creating a bank account and registering the Club as a non-profit organization.
• I convinced our Student Government to use our Club as a non-profit for the school-wide basketball tournament.
• I registered our Club as a non-profit for the U.S. Open to raise money.

• I organize and record the biweekly Pinecrest News Network for the high school students.
• In doing so, I have learned how to interview various people, and I have gotten to work with multiple clubs and sports across the school.

• I created the Pinecrest Chess Club at Pinecrest High School, consisting of over thirty players.
• I created the North Carolina High School Chess League under the North Carolina High School Scholastic Association for State, Regional, and Conference Chess Tournaments for the 2024 to 2025 school year in North Carolina.
• I was runner-up two years in a row for the first two annual high school tournaments of forty-seven and sixty-two players, respectively.

• I manage the Student Government fundraisers, including planning and tracking the money spent and collected on those fundraisers.
• I track the money flow through student government events, including school dances and tournaments.
• I vote on all the issues within the school representing the financial side along with the student body as one of five executive board members.
• I was selected amongst my peers and teachers to edit the Student Government Constitution for the first time in over twenty-five years.

• I was Captain of the Sandhills Sandsharks for three years.
• I was Co-Captain of the Pinecrest High School Swim Team for two years.
• I am one of six representatives for North Carolina Swimming and currently hold the title of At Large Representative, representing smaller teams across the state.
• I liaised for Sandhills Sandsharks for three years before becoming the O'Neal Swim team liaison for a year.
• I swam at High School Rationals three years in a row and at Club States for four consecutive years.
• I placed eighth in the Open Water 10-kilometer race in my freshman year.

• Eagle Scout: My Project revolved around the first community blood drive in Seven Lakes for the first time in over twenty years.
• I was the head leader of the troop (Senior Patrol Leader) for two years through Covid-19.
• I was an advisor to other Senior Patrol Leaders after me for two years as a Troop Guide.
• Organized and funded various campouts in and out of the state that required multiple years of planning
• Won multiple leadership awards at various jamborees and camps across North Carolina

• Took a class on Economics and law.
• Participated and won two mock trials during the two-week program.
