Process, sample and collect data from diamond drill core, including but not limited to:

• Collecting core trays from drill sites.
• Marking out drill core; metre and orientation mark-up.
• Collection of geological data (e.g., Recovery, RQD (Rock Quality Designation), Specific Gravity, Magnetic Susceptibility).
• Photographing of core trays.
• Sawing of drill core and collection of samples as directed by the supervising geologist.
• Drill core storage and retrieval.
• Sample and collect data from Reverse Circulation (RC), Rotary Air Blast (RAB), Air core (AC) and auger drillholes, including but not limited to:
• Surveying drillhole locations or grid lines using a GPS.
• Assisting with the preparation of surface drill sites.
• Sampling and data collection as directed by the supervising geologist.
• Pick up of drillhole collar coordinates using a differential DGPS.
• Assisting with the rehabilitation of surface drill sites.

• Set shipping/production goals for crew and insuring samples are sent out as efficiently as possible in order to meet those goals
• Talking and collaborating with vendors and third-party contractors for various services and supplies needed for function of operations in prep-lab
• Corresponding with clients and other Bureau Veritas branches regarding sample issues, and operations
• Entering and logging in client samples into LIMS database and setting desired analytical processes for the samples requested
• Identify and correct performance and personal issues to reduce impact of daily operations
• Performing routine safety, SOP, and PPE audits on production staff regularly to maintain a safe and efficient workplace

• Being a model employee by displaying a consistent and strong work ethic
• Trouble-shooting sample issues that deviate from regular production operations
• Delegating tasks to production staff based off their strengths and competency for the given task
• Storing and warehousing sample rejects
• Communicating directives to production staff as given by supervisor or branch manager

• Carry out sample preparation procedures in accordance with documented SOP’s or recognized standard reference methods
• Act in a safe and professional manor and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment
• Ensure proper functioning of sample preparation operations by monitoring performance of equipment, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies, and practicing good housekeeping

• Thorough exterior/interior detailing on used vehicle trade-ins and new inventory
• Conducting post delivery inspections, and inspecting new inventory for damages, scratches, and knicks
• Prepare and clean inventory to immaculate condition before placing on car lot

• Completed required documentation and logs for part orders, tire maintenance, and pre trip inspections
• Pre-trip inspections of tractors and trailers prior to departure from terminal
• Repairs and replacements of semi-truck and trailer tires
• Service calls for roadside tire maintenance as requested
• Operating and moving equipment, such as tractors/trailers, yard goats, forklifts/skid-steers, and other various heavy equipment

• Wash off mud and ice from tractors/trailers
• Maintenance and cleaning of parts and components of wash-bay, and shop
• General cleaning and organizing of shop
• Assisting diesel mechanics with tasks as needed/requested

• Conducting tasks as requested by the foreman of the Alaska West indoor tank cleaning facility
• Cleaning hazardous materials from inside of ISO tankers while using various assortments of rotor jets and pumps
• Conducting inspections and maintenance on equipment in the tank cleaning depot
• Wearing proper PPE appropriate for tasks needed

• Assisted maintenance personnel in a variety of tasks including:
• Fixing and replacing of boilers in different facilities within the terminal
• Installation of doorknobs, toilets, and lights
• Built a breakroom for warehousing facility, including wiring electrical components and putting up dry wall

• Cleaned dirt and mud off tractors/trailers
• Operate and move tractors/trailers to designated locations once cleaned
• Clean and tidy shop and assist with tasks as directed by the shop foreman
