  • Primary focus in this role is to create a functional and reliable prototype that can stand the test of time and the stress of daily use, while also being able to be reliably manufactured in mass.
  • Design with focus in Creo Parametric, and supplemented using Blender, Maya, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Highly knowledgeable in FDM/SLA/Polyjet 3D printing technologies. Most experience with Stratasys Fortus 450, FormLabs Form3+ and Form4, and J35 Polyjet. Experienced with water-soluble support handling and bead blasting post processing steps.
  • Contributed to the original design and ongoing product support of Lutron's luxury line of highly aesthetic metal-finished products-Alisse, Palladiom, and Sivoia products.
  • Operate and maintain machine shop prototyping equipment: waterjets, fiber & CO₂ lasers, PCB routers, band/miter/table saws, manual lathes, manual mills, HAAS machinery.
  • Written a handful of tolerance studies with a highlight on standard deviation to help other engineering teams make reliable decisions in regard to outsourcing vs manufacturing in-house with existing technologies.
  • Prototype surface finishing via HPLV spray gun with Polane-T enamel and Cerakote; meeting and advising vendors on surface adhesion, stripping, and paint quality issues.
  • Utilize inspection and measurement tools: SmartScopes, CMMs, microscopes.
  • Successfully authored and presented CERs that secured stakeholder buy-in for $250K+ in new machinery.
