  • Tanker Fleet: Manage the logistics and P&L for a fleet of 12 pneumatic tankers. Team consists of one Salaried Manager for supporting the fleet with recruiting, hiring and training along with managing the R&M and other P&L targets. There is also a Dispatcher that schedules and manages 12 internal company units and 16 external 3rd party units daily. The internal units are responsible for a budget in excess of 1.7 million annually. Role requires consistent management and oversight for all vendors.
  • Driver Fleet: Leading & managing driver fleet that consists of 5 Salaried Managers that are directly managing all functions of 185 mixer drivers and 12 tanker drivers. These drivers service 17 company sites that cover the entire Houston market. Objective to establish a strong retention while managing driver headcount to truck availability. These priorities enable our company to meet and exceed customer expectations that will continue to build long term business relationships while also protecting our team with proper Safety related procedures. My Team is accountable for truck standards, quality control and overall driver cycle time performance. I am responsible for implementing and managing expenses that directly impact our P&L. Role requires consistent management and oversight for service vendors.
  • Developed and launched “RAW” an internal CDL Training Program-Granted by State of Texas 2021. This program includes training for CLP and CDL while on the job training is being completed. Established a solid relationship with Texas Workforce Solutions and establishing an Apprenticeship with Department of Labor. This program has already showed a solid ROI along with a strong retention and upgraded quality of driver.
  • August 2019 – March 2022 (In addition to Transportation Manager responsibilities) Customer Call Center: Lead & manage a call center of 1 Salaried Manager and staff of 6 Operators that are responsible for taking in all business calls. Directly responsible for in taking customer orders, order confirmations and resolving customer concerns for the 17 sites. Daily call volume in excess of 400 calls. Department is measured per Key Performance Indicators that are targeted on customer and order efficiency. Key initiative was to build efficient order taking and scheduling for FOB customer base.
  • Central Dispatch: Lead & manage a service center of 1 Salaried Manager and staff of 4 shippers. Team is directly responsible for fulfilling customer orders by managing the logistics for 185 Concrete Mixers from 17 sites covering 7k square miles. Central Dispatch is responsible for an extremely diverse and extensive customer base. The shippers will fulfill in excess of 1.6 million yards annually. Key initiative was to build an efficient schedule strategy for 3rd party mixer partners to drive additional volume. Department is measured per Key Performance Indicators that are targeted in the logistics, efficiencies, shipping cycle times and error rate.
