Reliable Machinist skilled at reading and following machine schematics and standard operating procedures. Meticulous and systematic with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Accomplished in manufacturing and repairing precision parts and instruments.
First Duty I would receive materials such as 20' aluminum and or stainless tubing or 3' x5/16" all thread. Use self feeding HYDE bansaw to cut tubing and all thread to specified lengths, once materials are cut I could then take materials to HAAS ToolRoom Laythe pick what program depending on what part I was making that day.For example the aluminum tubing I cut with bansaw from 20'to3' pieces .Then with Toolroom Laythe control, pick covertube threading program, cycle start laythe. Laythe operation would cut threads into I.D. of aluminum tubing once operation is done remove part I would then check parts with calipers and micrometers if measurements are correct I could then continue making parts,if not I would make minor offsets usually because of tool wear or remove wire cutting tool with new cutting tool depending on availability of new tool.I would check with supervisor and he would let me know weather to make offsets or change cutting tool.Same with stainless tubing and all thread . Once parts are done and counted and loaded into crates I would use forklift and either shelf parts or load them on to truck to be taken to be painted or to next shop to be used for construction of gate opener.
