Director of Store Operations Innovation & Transformation

  • In current position, I am responsible for developing business-specific strategies focused on delivering revenue through revenue growth, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is also responsible for Field Operations and provides guidance for all store construction activities in the field (new store openings, major projects, and store closures) and supports logistics and execution of such to ensure deadlines are met and interruptions for team members and guests are minimal.
  • In November 2023 I assumed additional responsibilities including, leading Store Operations Insights and Analytics Team, assessing key analytics projects identified by Store Operations to drive growth (working with Enterprise Analytics Team to develop scope and potentially move to planning and implementation) and leading strategic partnerships between Signet and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Canada Children’s Hospital Foundation (CCHF) charitable giving programs.
  • Achieved $6MM incremental revenue annually for Signet by leading cross functional team, in collaboration with, Jewelry Services to re-launch Repair Bands to Kay and Jared.
  • Delivered $7MM cost savings in FY23 by creating new visibility to store driven costs across cross-functional GL items throughout the organization. Areas of focus include, but not limited to, discounting merchandise/repair margins, out of policy returns, and store supplies.
  • June 2022 selected by the Signet Senior Leadership Team to join our Board of Directors for a virtual session to recognize my leadership and my contributions. Discussion topics included, but not limited to, macroeconomic conditions, company culture, Inspiring Brilliance strategy, and company competitive advantages.
  • Led the creation, governance, and execution of Visual Dynamic Dashboard Reporting via Tableau reporting tool. This initiative gives field leadership (and select SSC Leadership) easily accessible, time series reporting for all Store Operations business deliverables in addition to eliminating manual excel reports.
  • Led cross functional team that included Store Operations, HR, and Legal to launch The Signet Wage Tool. This tool is used for all field positions and is intended to determine wage rates and maintain consistent pay among store-level selling positions at Jared, Kay, Zales, and D&SC based on relevant experience while providing for location differentials.
  • Led cross functional team to address lengthy merchandise reticketing process (2-4 weeks) by leveraging DC merchandise sorter technology. This significantly reduces ticket transit time, nonproductive inventory, and freights spend (up to $113K annually).

  • Led vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of logistics and distribution, with a scope of responsibility that encompassed operating budgets, merchandise processing plans, inbound and outbound operations, store inventory replenishment, inventory control strategies, quality assurance, and performance improvement programs. Supervised six direct report managers, including two directors, and 300+ distribution center employees while reporting to the Vice President of Distribution and Logistics.
  • Planned and administered a $15MM budget and accountability for the flow of $1B in merchandise annually.
  • Credited with developing and launching hiring strategy for 150 incremental team members, 10 supervisors and 3 exempt leaders. This led to the redevelopment of a second shift department to manage distribution center operations.
  • Analyzed and re-defined all distribution capacities to improve labor planning/staffing, scheduling, and capacity utilization which yielded a service level improvement of 15.1% improvement over previous year.
  • Achieved consistent YOY improvement in overall DC service levels and 6.5% YOY improvement in Merchandise Processing Departments.
  • Conducted labor analysis for the Receiving Department and by redeploying labor achieved a 25% service level improvement from September through January.
  • Improved nonproductive inventory by $9.7MM, 24% YOY and credited with improving scrap merchandise budget by 6% YOY and 15% below plan ($5MM reduction).

Director of Supply Warehouse Operations and E-commerce Fulfillment

  • Successfully took on responsibility of vendor relationships and oversight of all ecommerce fulfillment achieving 99% SLA adherence on customer shipments of 520K+ units.
