I was a Captain in the local Rescue Squad I was asked to head up a 9 team member unit and respond to the tragedy in New York City during 911. Our team spent 2 week sifting through rubble. On our return the WSM TV channel 4 presented the team With The Volunteer Award.
We were also had dinner with the Governor.
