West Des Moines,IA

Summary

I am 39 years old from Miami, FL and fluent in Spanish. I have been a police officer in the State of Iowa for the past 12 years. I have 8 years of military experience with the U.S. Army National Guard. Six years of my experience was with a Scout Sniper Reconnaissance Airborne Unit and two years in a drill sergeant unit. I completed one deployment overseas in Afghanistan from 2010 – 2011. I was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge and several other awards for my performance.

I am a professional with comprehensive experience in law enforcement, consistently ensuring public safety and effective community policing. Strong focus on collaboration and achieving results through teamwork. Skilled in conflict resolution, crisis management, and maintaining public order. Adaptable and reliable, always ready to respond to evolving situations. I enjoy working with others and in a fast pace environment.

When I was in the military I was in an Airborne Unit. I have years of experience working with fixed wing U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army aircraft and helicopters. Most of my experience involves C-130 and C-17 fixed wing aircraft, Blackhawk (UH-60)and Chinook (CH-47) helicopters. Being in an Airborne unit not only increased my exposure with these aircraft and it also increased my hands-on experience and training. I have experience training jumping out of them and experience overseas conducting combat missions with them. I have personally created and setup landing zones for medical situations in combat. Being in a Scout Sniper Reconnaissance Unit also gave me the opportunity to study and memorize aircraft and military vehicles of all types. This allowed me to properly identify them, know what they are capable of, and know when they can and cannot be utilized for when in combat.

Before and after my experience in the military, I have always enjoyed studying and educating myself on fighter jets and their capabilities, as I believe they're fascinating pieces of equipment. I have also personally witnessed what these aircraft are capable of and have a very large amount of respect for them. After I have proven myself to be a hard working, trust worthly, and successful member of your organization my ultimate goal would be to work around airplanes at the airport.
