• Manages pre-analytical operations, such as Facilities, Warehouse/Purchasing and Environmental Health & Safety.
• Works with appropriate areas to develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
• Monitors site activities.
• Acts as a liaison with Regional/Divisional EHS Managers and disseminates information at the site.
• Monitors compliance with company EHS policies and external regulations, including federal, state, and local.
• Provides management reports for the site, such as, OSHA 300 and 300A, TLD readings, incident reports etc.
• Provides annual training and as needed.
• Maintains all necessary records such as manifests and quarterly/annual testing of safety equipment.
• Interacts with site management and site employees regarding safety compliance.
• Complies with regulatory environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies. Assures and enforces compliance with LabCorp EHS policies with employees.
• Radiation Safety and compliance.
• Hazardous chemical waste management.
• Receives and logs in raw materials and reagents as required.
• Analyzes and reviews data according to established guidelines.
• Establishes and maintains test records.
• Releases and tracks approved materials for production use.
• Assists in stability studies or other protocols when assigned.
• Writes technical material specification sheets, test procedures as well as designs forms and templates.
• Works with appropriate individuals in the laboratory to identify trends, solve problems, troubleshoot, and modify processes to prevent recurrence of problems.
• Records data on Reagent Preparation Sheets for review by Technical Director and files documents.
• Schedules work within the department, establishes priorities, and troubleshoots technical problems in the absence of department management.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, documents PM appropriately, makes minor repairs and immediately contacts appropriate personnel for problems requiring more complex repairs.
• Adheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.
• Documents all activities as necessary including preventative maintenance.
