Performs Spreader functions such as feeding core, laying core and turning sheets, while communicating with other operators.
• Patches core line, removes debris as needed.
• May be responsible for setting the production pace to achieve footage goals.
• Monitors production process to identify quality issues. Reports issues to Quality Control and Supervisory staff.
• Performs daily pre-inspections of equipment. Reports any maintenance issues immediately.
• Keeps the immediate work area free of wood debris, maintains an organized and safe work area.
• May use saws to cut veneer to product specifications.
• Provides product tickets with correct date, Press and Spreader Crew number.
