  • As the opening General Manager, my primary responsibilities involve overseeing every aspect of the launch to ensure a successful opening.
  • Operational setup objectives were to develop and implement policies, SOP’s, and guidelines for all departments.
  • Work directly with architects, designers and contractors to finalize layout, furnishings and overall functionality of the club.
  • Recruit, interview and hire key staff members for all roles including third party companies such as security and cleaning crews to affectively fulfill obligations within the venue standards.
  • Training the team to align with the venues brand and service standards through structured and pre-planned agendas.
  • Develop a staffing plan, including schedules, areas of responsibility and proper operational sequences to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure the venue has all state required licenses (e.g., Liquor, Beer, Business tax, Health, Music, resale, occupancy and Pregnancy).
  • Adhere to local and state regulations including safety and fire.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop multiple promotional strategies before and during launch.
  • Build relationships with local influencers, promoters and different city groups with community engagement and private venue tours.
  • Establish vendor relationships and negotiate contracts, product placement and new product knowledge through weekly meetings and constant communication. Utilize vendor expertise through scheduled tasting and knowledge classes for training and preparation purposes.
  • Set pricing strategies for memberships, menu items, merchandise and all other items priced for sale.
  • Prioritize guest service experiences through personally greeting VIP guests and ensuring exceptional service for all patrons. Address any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Monitoring the flow of operations, including inventory, staffing and daily/weekly sales.
