Daily operation of unit. Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of Welsh power unit. I Continually monitor the control system of the unit to make changes needed to satisfy changing load demand. Operated control panels to regulate turbine load and maintain proper steam temperature and pressure. I must keep in mind what to do in an emergency situation. Perform emergency operations to shut down faulty equipment, maintain electric service and safeguard station machinery. Ensured precise data entry into operational databases, contributing to accurate record-keeping necessary for regulatory compliance. Inspected plant activities on screens and computers to identify and troubleshoot issues.

Monitor and inspect all plant equipment for normal operation. Identify, record, and report abnormal conditions to the proper authority. Communicate to other operators and supervisors the operating status of the plant's equipment during shift change.

Troubleshoot equipment problems and document these problems using the appropriate computer tracking systems.

Prepare boilers, turbines and auxiliaries for operation and removal from service. Perform duties as assigned for placing in service, monitor and isolate all plant auxiliary equipment systems and/or components of a system. Monitor boiler burners and observe conditions of fires and furnaces.

Perform routine cleaning of plant areas, tools, and equipment, including outside areas, as assigned. Operate, clean and lubricate equipment necessary to perform these tasks.

Isolate plant equipment and place/remove clearance tags in accordance with the Company Clearance Policy.

Operate, regulate, adjust, clean and perform minor maintenance on power plant equipment, including associated pumps, piping and valves, fittings, etc.

Perform routine operation and maintenance of basic water treating systems, including chemical control, routine testing of effluents, chlorination and lubrication.

Perform the proper and safe unloading and handling of bulk products.

Collect and prepare samples, operate sampling equipment and perform tests requiring the use of basic analytical equipment and knowledge of common chemical materials. June 1999 thru January 2006- Sr. Mechanical Maintenance Technician. Routine and preventative maintenance in pipe facility.

January 2006 thru February 2010- Mechanical Maintenance Planner. was in charge of planning and facilitating daily and weekly repair work and preventative maintenance of machinery. Planned and budgeted weekly and monthly outage work. Bought parts out from warehouse and or vendor stock. Kept schedule of machinery pm outages and repairs. Maintained accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, adhering to strict industry standards and regulations. Participated in root-cause analysis investigations following equipment failures, helping to develop long-term solutions that minimized future incidents.
