William Spilsbury

My name is William Spilsbury; I also go by Will. I am currently a Junior at Old Dominion University, majoring in Cybersecurity. I hope to enter the field of Cybersecurity soon and start working with companies that I may have a lengthy career with. I am interested in design and development as well as implementation and operation within the framework of Cybersecurity. I am very good with planning and problem-solving, a skill I learned doing construction. There are times when I need to create a game plan to complete my task. An example of this is one time where I had to path out copper condensation lines coming out of 11 ceiling units in an office area. They all had to connect to one of two different drains whilst avoiding wiring, ductwork, and other piping already in the ceiling.

I also have experience dealing with people and communication. At Onelife, a skill I developed was the ability to get someone an answer regardless of whether or not I was the one who gave it. Many people have thanked me for my honesty and help while I have served this role.
