My passion for being outside and around others has led me to study Building Science at Auburn University. As a competitive industry, I strive to learn and become the best. Auburn has already taught me so much about this industry, and I hope to learn more through this coming summer.

  • This was my second job, but the first in the industry I am currently studying. It was a great experience to understand what goes on each day at a construction site. I spent each day cleaning what was leftover from previous work at different job sites.
  • Along with cleaning, the company's owner showed me the key values of the site work process. I worked alongside the superintendent to ensure every job site was in check, doing tasks along the way.

  • As a helper for Overseas Hardwood Company, I helped load and stack wood around the plant to help the shipping progress further.
  • I started out in the stacking wood warehouse, ensuring every piece of wood was stacked efficiently. Next, I was moved to the shipment warehouse to help package up wood to be put on trucks for redistribution.
  • This was a great first experience as an employer in the real world.

  • My classmates and I traveled to Belize to help the people of Belize all over the country. This included cleaning and helping rebuild the poorer states of the country. We also learned about their origin and culture.
