  • In a major pharmaceutical company within the Sales Information Technology group. My primary responsibilities included developing and creating specifications and programming for competitive Sales contests to drive Sales revenues. Used Proc sort, export/import, means, weight, freq, transpose and other procedures and techniques was used in a UNIX environment. SAS connect was also used to process data in the most efficient and effective way possible. The data was then loaded into an Excel workbook and developed further sometimes using Visual Basic to enhance the reports for field management. These contest are measure over a period of time so a full process was created using SAS MACROS to create further efficiency and expedience. These contests involve creating Baseline data and then capturing actual weekly and monthly data to compare, track and develop trends. • Working on a major Migration project. This position requires an in depth knowledge of SAS and the SAS tools which allow SAS to be a portable software. The DEV-IT team of which I am a part is tasked with developing tools and moving all Clinical programs, Clinical data and Clinical applications from the OpenVMS environment on the VAX to the UNIX platform... This process is achieved by creating macros in SAS to analyze the differences in the programming code such as calls to the operating system as well as to files and convert the code to compliant code as interpreted on UNIX. SAS transport files are also created to prepare the SAS files to be moved via FTP. CPORT and CIMPORT procs are also used to pack and unpack the data so that it may be on the new platform. Once the Clinical trials programs were unpacked Phase II & III level programs were executed on the Unix Platform to resolve any issues that may have resulted during the migration. This project is directed as a global company project. All management is located in Basel Switzerland, where I travel periodically for project management meetings and Auditing training for the FDA regulated process..
