• Highlights from career include: was a candidate for NASA’s Journalist in Space and made the first two cuts; covered the New York Yankees home games for a season; went on a mission trip to Honduras with a local eye doctors group, writing a feature about the experience; interviewed George W. Bush twice during his Texas campaign for governor.

• I have spent many hours on mission trips to the Savannah (Georgia) Baptist Center to feed and interact with the local homeless, and found this experience very rewarding.
• Since retiring from my 41-year newspaper journalism career, I have since begun writing a series of novels. Six have been published by Amazon and all have spent time at No. 1 on their weekly lists. Currently finishing book number seven in the series.
