  • Home Buyers Safeguard is a home warranty company that works in conjunction with the Board of Realtors, various title companies, and both the seller of the home and the potential buyer.
  • As a Home Inspector my duties were to inspect the home and evaluate it for a warranty for a one year duration.
  • HBS offered two basic inspections - a GB98 Mechanical inspection and a non-warranty Full Home Inspection.
  • During the course of the warranty inspection I would evaluate and test the electrical, plumbing, roof, heating and air conditioning and certain major appliances for warranty eligibility.
  • During the inspection I would also evaluate the home in a non- evasive structural inspection covering the exterior walls, walkways, interior walls, windows and window wells, doors, ceilings, staircases and patios porches and perimeter walls.
  • I would also assess property grading and drainage.

    Accomplishments

    As Maintenance Supervisor for Ohkay Casino & Resort, in order to attract a higher caliber maintenance crew, I developed and designed a standardized maintenance test for potential employees and several Peer Review inspection protocols to improve the overall quality of the Maintenance Shop. I also improved the overall work order completion rate by 30% by negotiating with executive management regarding proper use of employee time and clarifying the duties of all maintenance personnel.

    During my employment with Presidential Inn & Suites, I was tasked with updating the Pool & Spa equipment as required by law. I installed new acid and sanitizer pumps, including controllers, a new spa boiler and a commercial ozone generator. During the subsequent season we received numerous compliments from various guests on the crystal clear water of our pool and spa and one visiting pool inspector stated it was the cleanest pool he had ever seen. We maintain our pools to the highest standard for the safety of our guests.
