  • And also fabricate and build humvees for the military, t 1 in a half inch plate all steel, black iron, we had to pre- heat Metal to 350 degrees to keep welds from cracking
  • Did tanks that was all aluminum for this process it was sum Tig but mainly Aluminum Mig and racks

  • Building fixtures to fit racks, so that welder can proceed with the production of racks
  • Also had to train new recruits, on running the new fixtures: showing them which area's to weld first, so that racks don't twist
  • Also was robotic weld tech, Had to change wire, liners, tips and also teach robot how to weld, start and stop points, realignments, by using teach pendents
  • Here we had ABB robots
  • I also changed robot tables in and out for each job
  • To weld humvees, Also fit them together as well as lead a crew of 20 people, Flux- core and Tig welding, and also reg
  • Mig, all military work
  • This work was done with precision, and metal and welds had to be done to exact, specs
  • After one year working as a welder, then team leader was promoted to Supervisor of our welding department
  • Job consisted of 150 people I had to guide, was in charge of managing the man hours that was given to me, for each job performed, had to keep all machines, running and maintained, robots in alignment

  • And be there for any problems that may occur, such as realigning robot, and teaching new employee's How to run our equipment safely

  • To solid weld all tanks they had to be leak free
  • Flux core vertical ups, regular mig as well as Using plasma and tourches
  • Also had to lead a team of 30 people, give work orders for each day, giving weld test for New Hires, solved any problems that may occur, such as changing liners with manual or Robotic welders
  • By using teach pendent realigning robot
  • Inspecting all welds
  • We were using ABB robots, and same time trying to come up with better cycle times
  • Also had to gauge welds on smaller parts
  • Here we used calipers and micrometers and dept gauges
