Hello, I am 18 and currently in college to become a nurse. I have a very outgoing, happy, and bubbly personality. I love constant changing environments and meeting new people
My great grandmother fell at the beginning of January, she broke her hip. This fall had occurred in her friends house because she was unfamiliar with the area and stepped wrong. She has development vision loss at her age, she is blind in the left eye and only sees tunnel vision in the right. She is 89 at the time. An ambulance comes rushes her to the hospital and she is transferred to a rehabilitation center to help her heal and gain strength again. I was doing 4-5 classes with college at the tome and had no job so I would go visit her at the rehabilitation center and take care of her. Clean her room, bring her around the place in her wheelchair, bring her food, and help her with her medicine. She ended up being discharged and brought home. She lives in an elderly neighborhood but she lives independently so I would hang out with her from 9-4 Monday-Friday. I would help her get changed, make her food, do dishes, and clean her apartment. This went on for a few months till she made a full recovery and just had her 90th birthday. I was able to do all my homework and classwork and keep her company.
