COMMUNICATION

• Obtain and receive information and act on oral or written instructions by various communication devices

TRAIN OPERATION

• Climb on/off equipment, set/release hand brakes, couple/uncouple air hoses, remove/replace broken railcar knuckle, ride moving cars by holding onto grab irons or ladders
• Observe, interpret and relay hand, lantern, and other signals for train movement
• Judge and control speed and clearance distance of cars

SWITCHING FUNCTIONS

• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing within yards or on road
• Check switch points for proper alignment

• Dismantle propeller blade assemblies.
• Setup and use manual machining equipment, hand tools, utilize precision measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, calipers), hydraulic presses and plastic media blast equipment.
• Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed.
• Shotpeen, riveting, grit blasting, repairing composites and using various types of lathes and grinders.
• Metalworking operations such as grinding, drilling, polishing and paint removal. (Aerospace parts, automotive, surface

• Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
• Use chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
• Using a computer in a production environment
• Assemble and install parts, structural components and sub-assemblies to build and attach major wing
• Work on composite/metal aircraft
• Using drills and high impact vibratory tools (bucking, riveting), in addition to screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, (-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, torque wrenches, crimpers, cable tools and various other hand tools)
• Align door assembly to roller fittings, guides and latch tracks
• Check door swing into fuselage
• Adjust fit using door rigging tools
• Ensure door has correct fit and fair with fuselage when closed
• Align scuff plate
• Shim and trim door for fit using planers, rotary sanders and hand files
• Install door hardware including warning sensor, pressure/bulb seal, liner brackets, bustle hardware and other attachments
