• Support the Duthely mCARES Lab under the ultimate responsibility of the Principal Investigator (PI) and in close collaboration with other study co-investigators (Co-Is) and the clinical/medical officer assigned to the study, the manager will manage day-to-day clinical research operations, study coordination duties—from protocol development/initiation to study close-out, according to regulatory/sponsor guidelines; and assure study integrity throughout.
• Plan and carry out strategies to maximize adherence to clinical research and clinical care standards, regulations, and study approvals; promote collaboration among study teams, clinical personnel, and staff/faculty/study sites to ensure participant safety and protocol and data integrity; hold responsibility for study-related administrative tasks; and assure across-the-board flow of information, carefully defining study activities and personnel.
• Define activities in complex clinical research studies to prevent deviations/unanticipated events
• Identify clinical care/safety implications during study development (e.g. staff competencies, clinical needs)
• Assist adherence to study-related SOPs/scientific manuals; plans, conducts, and evaluates study orientation, oversees protocol-related in-services to research team and clinical staff; institutes process improvements as needed
• Oversee the management of the mCARES behavioral research lab employees and volunteers
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures to appropriate level of training and established procedures. Ensures participant privacy and comfort during the exam; instructs patients in the collection of samples and other tests.
• Actively participate in continuing education and meetings; participates in committees as requested; and participants in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
• Triage and respond to participant telephone call using approved protocols; ensuring documentation of the phone call meets standards.
• Assist with the procurement of laboratory supplies (e.g., swabs, tubes) for the different research projects.
• Assist with the negotiations of laboratory (e.g. assay kits) and technology-related software (e.g. qualitative data transcription and analysis) and services (e.g., Dedoose, Trint, TWILIO).

• Maintains daily operations and performs procedures related to new and ongoing research projects.

• Records, organizes, and writes up experimental results for submission of manuscripts and for scientific

presentations.

• Keeps abreast of the latest literature in the field and searches for references to technical problems.

• Provided technical support to Haiti's National Malaria Control Program and the Department for Epidemiology Laboratory and Research (DELR) to transition from a paper-based health monitoring system to an electronic monitoring system utilizing District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) in 12 communes in Grand-Anse.
• Managed CHAI's malaria surveillance programmatic field activities for malaria elimination as part of the Center for Disease Control Foundation (CDCF) Malaria Zero Consortium
• Provided grant updates on malaria surveillance activities to the Center for Disease Control Foundation (CDCF) and Bill and Melinda Gates Malaria Zero alliance liaising in consortium with the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), United Nations Foundation, and London School of Tropical Hygiene.
• Supported the development of Haiti's Ministry of Health's first national community health strategy integrating CHAI's community health worker modeling exercise in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
• Contributed to the design and elaboration of systematic data analysis and dissemination of malaria surveillance reports with the Grand'Anse Department using DHIS2.
• Conducted on-site validation of notification of confirmed malaria cases healthcare and surveillance staff at all locations involved in DHIS2 reporting in Grand-Anse.

• Ensured malaria messages are delivered appropriately and effectively via 300 malaria officers in schools, gaguères, religious ceremonies during domiciliary visits.
• Reviewed and developed monthly reports on project progress with 2 supervisors for 300 malaria field agents.
• Built strong communication with consortium partners, FOSREF and AOPS, in malaria elimination scene.
• Participated in micro planification meeting for malaria elimination project.
• Monitored sanitation officer in Cote-de-Fer in selection of wells for reparation, sanitation block assessments and latrine constructions.
