• Serve as the designated Orthopedic Lead within a fast-paced acute care hospital. Manage specialized capital equipment, inventory, and vendor relationships. Coordinate with orthopedic surgeons to review and update surgical preference cards.
• Clinical Expertise: Circulate for complex orthopedic trauma, joint replacements, podiatry, and neuro-spine surgical procedures. Maintain expert-level knowledge of advanced instrumentation, orthopedic implants, and modern spinal hardware.
• Robotic & Advanced Technology: Operate and troubleshoot robotic surgical systems, ensuring accurate system calibration and sterile draping before procedures.
• Patient Safety & Advocacy: Lead interdisciplinary "Surgical Time-Outs" to ensure accurate patient identification, correct surgical site verification, and timely prophylactic antibiotic delivery. Utilize trauma-informed care methods to minimize preoperative anxiety for surgical patients.
