I am currently working as a Civil Engineer for City of Springfield in the construction engineering and inspection field. I graduated from Western New England University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in May 2021. My education provided me with an extensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, specifications, and standards. I have 6 years of construction inspection and engineering experience. Which includes field operations includes field operations and assisting with administrative project controls and closeout and on-site daily reporting for DOT. Also, I have experience with construction estimating, drafting, and interpreting blueprints, computations for material quantities, and executing contract specifications. I am looking for a work environment where I can contribute and further develop my skills and knowledge in the engineering profession.

Perform daily inspections of contractor’s work activities to ensure compliance with specifications and construction plans. Complete daily work reports, utilize Excel and Bluebeam for material quantity calculations and maintain as-built drawings. Implement the new CTDOT quality control procedure for PMA paving and ensure compliance by the contractor. As directed by the of Chief Inspector. Project Cost: $65M CTDOT Route 11 / 153 Pavement Preservation District 2 - Project #172-512 (2022), 2022, Served as Construction Inspector, involved with fine milling of bituminous concrete (0”- 4”), joint and crack sealing of bituminous concrete pavement, Ultra-Thin Bonded PMA Pavement (Type B), catch basin repairs and top replacement, and traffic signal work including vehicle detection (camera and video) sensors and equipment within the Towns of Colchester, Essex, and Salem along Routes 11, and 153. Project Cost: $6.9M CTDOT Route 2 / I-395 / I-95 Pavement Preservation District 2 - Project #172-500 (2021-2022), 2021, 2022, Served as Construction Inspector for this pavement preservation project consisting of the following work: maintenance & protection of traffic, reset and replace of catch basin tops, fine milling, paving S0.5 PMA, removal of existing pavement markings, removal of existing rumble strips, pavement repairs (crack seal, crack fill and bituminous concrete surface patch), temporary painted pavement markings, paving ultra-thin bonded PMA, emulsified asphalt seal coat (roadway shoulders), modified asphaltic plug expansion joint systems, traffic signal work, loop vehicle detector work, pavement marking grooves, permanent epoxy resin pavement markings and placement of processed aggregate for backing roadway and curbs.
