The scope of training includes theory and maintenance of energized overhead and underground electrical distribution systems and associated equipment, types of high voltage systems, system components and their purpose; the types, use, and testing of high voltage electrical maintenance equipment such as rubber protective equipment and hot line tools. Work energized overhead distribution systems with voltages ranging from 2,400 to 12,470 from wooden poles and isolated basket. Also worked on energized underground distribution systems with voltages from 2,400 to 12,470.

The scope of this training includes electric and electronic principles with emphasis on troubleshooting of motors, motor control centers, door openers, electric hoists, transformers, grounding systems and low voltage power circuit breakers.
