Obtained all available qualifications for my specific job title including (fuel sampling, blade/pylon folding, APU operation, Taxi and Tow director and driver, Plane Captain, Collateral Duty Inspector, and Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative).
As a CDQAR, I supervised and directed shifts of up to 50 maintainers in the safe maintenance and operation of the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, both around the Islands of Hawaii and on three Marine Expeditionary Units providing humanitarian aid and piece of mind to the entire endo-pacific region while living and working from an America class Amphibious assault ship.
The duty of a CDQAR is to be at the point of friction as the subject matter expert on all major and minor maintenance actions performed on the aircraft, including removal, replacement, inspection and adjustment of all transmissions, flight controls, driveshafts, engines, rotorheads, filters, oil and fuel systems, radiator systems, special hourly/daily inspections, and phasing of aircraft.
CDQAR's are also responsible for the continued enforcement and development of safety standards and protocols ensuring a ZERO percent deficiency rate in maintenance actions and aircraft airworthiness.
While performing this billet, I signed off over 5,000 defect free maintenance actions resulting in over 10,000 mishap free flight hours.
