I am a reliable patrolman with experience in community policing, traffic enforcement, and emergency response. I demonstrate skill in enforcing laws, conducting routine patrols, and providing and ensuring the safety of the general public. My strengths include clear communication, critical thinking, and being self-driven. My impact is displayed through the improved community relations that have been created by proactive engagement and constant professionalism.
I began the 100th New Mexico State Police Recruit school on August 21st, 2022. I completed and passed the training requirements set and graduated on December 10th, 2022. I began my Field Training Period December 24th, 2022 where I was taught on basic day to day patrol operations, completion of administrative tasks and offense/incident investigations. I completed the set requirements in March of 2023 and was released from the FTO program.
I have currently been a patrolman with the New Mexico State Police for approximately 2 years and 5 months. During my time as a patrolman, I have been able to experience a wide array of situations and specific events that have enhanced my experience and knowledge as a law enforcement officer. Over the past 2 years and 5 months, I have issued 1, 453 traffic citations, completed 42 offense/ incident reports, completed 61 crash investigation reports, and conducted 72 arrests with 14 of those being arrests for possession of controlled substances. In 2024, I produced 453 citations on 554 contacts, 39 arrests (2nd in D9), 14 criminal cases, 26 reports, 16 crashes, and handled 155 calls for service. I worked 425 hours of overtime during this period assisting the district beyond the required working hours. 107 hours were funded grants. I am also tasked with serving as the district recruiter for District 9, which takes away from normal patrol duties. I had 166 community policing hours and 94 attended events during this rating period. I am tasked as a VIN inspector which also takes away time from normal patrol duties.
I have been able to assist multiple agencies and specialty teams with operations and investigations while serving as a patrolman. I also serve as a Field Training Officer in District 9, which allows me to instruct and train newly commissioned officers on patrol tactics and ways to positively impact the district while patrolling. I have had success at locating narcotics on the possession level as well as the trafficking level, specifically Methamphetamine and Fentanyl. As a patrolman with New Mexico State Police, I have been assigned to assist with natural disaster events such as the South Fork and Salt fires in Ruidoso, NM and the Flooding event in Roswell, NM. As the District Recruiter for District 9, I have successfully recruited and screened applicants for the New Mexico State Police Recruit Schools. There are many roles and responsibilities I have involved myself in while a patrolman that have since assisted in my progression and growth of knowledge.
The following are work-specific responsibilities or tasks I have completed during my time as a patrolman with the New Mexico State Police:
- Traffic Enforcement along rural New Mexico highways, U.S. Highway 54 and Interstate 40.
- Crash investigations that vary from non-injury vehicle crashes to fatal vehicle crashes.
- DWI enforcement.
- Community engagement events and community relationship building by getting involved with local businesses, as well as the local school districts.
- Assisting local law enforcement agencies as well as Fire and EMS on calls for service or investigations.
- Completion of search warrants or arrest warrants for criminal offenses committed.
- Participating in fugitive apprehension operations such as warrant roundups, Safe Surrender Operations, and actively pursuing wanted subjects within my district.
- Attending court hearings for traffic and criminal cases.
- Criminal Interdiction/ Drug Interdiction along rural highways, U.S. Highway 54 and Interstate 40.
- Completing lengthy Investigative reports and in-depth investigations.
- Serving as a Field Training Officer for District 9, training officers from the 103rd and 104th recruit classes.
- Serving as a VIN investigator for District 9.
- Serving as the District recruiter for District 9.
- Serving as a CPR/ First Aid Instructor for District 9.
- Locating and apprehending Stolen vehicles.

- Public Assists involving vehicle equipment failures and malfunctions along Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 54.
- Working alongside other state entities such as C.Y.F.D and Adult Probation Officers to complete investigations and locate subjects within District 9.
- Special Assignments such as the 2023 New Mexico State Fair, Administrative Office of the Courts Safe Surrender Operations, 103rdNMSP recruit class firearms course, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office Defensive Tactics Ground Control Instructor Course, 104th NMSP recruit class Patrol Operations course, Drug interdiction/ Criminal Interdiction identification courses, etc.
- Direct Involvement with the locating of and rendering aid to Patrolman Justin Hare on Mach 15, 2024.
- Assisting Crime Suppression/ K9 officers with locating target vehicles, and seizing illegal narcotics along the Interstate 40 Corridor.
In August of 2018 I initiated my 4-year enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. I completed recruit training on November 9th, 2018, where I received a promotion to Private First Class. I attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, California where I was attached to Fox Company. I concluded Marine Combat Training in December of 2018 and was ordered to Fort Leonard wood, MO, where I attended Basic Engineer Equipment Repairer Course. After concluding my MOS school in April of 2019, I was ordered to 1st Transportation Support Battalion, Support Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group, located at Camp Pendleton, CA.
During my time at 1st TSB, I served as a basic floor mechanic where I completed preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs on Engineer equipment. Additional responsibilities outside of work duties consisted of Annual training requirements, Physical and Combat fitness tests, Rifle Range Qualifications and Marine Corps Martial Arts program advancement. I was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal and Corporal while at 1st TSB. I attended meritorious promotion panels as well as advanced maintenance training. I served as a Foor Chief and Quality Control Chief where I reviewed and approved maintenance conducted on over 35 pieces of Engineer equipment varying heavy equipment pieces, cargo trailers, water storage containers and generator/ power supply equipment. I also utilized GCSS, an administrative system used across the U.S. Marine Corps to track maintenance statuses, maintenance cycles and part transitions on every piece of equipment assigned to 1st TSB Support Company. I participated in multiple field training operations at Marine Corps Base 29 Palms, CA, where training events were conducted for mock deployment operations and tactics.
I was ordered to 1st landing Support Battalion, Support Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group, located at Camp Pendleton, CA, in 2021 where I served as the Quality Control Chief for Support Company, where I where I reviewed and approved maintenance conducted on over 42 pieces of Engineer equipment varying heavy equipment pieces, cargo trailers, water storage containers and generator/ power supply equipment. I also utilized GCSS, an administrative system used across the U.S. Marine Corps to track maintenance statuses, maintenance cycles and part transitions on every piece of equipment assigned to 1st LSB Support Company. During my time at 1stLSB, as a unit we prepared for a unit deployment to Guam. During the preparation period, I was tasked with ensuring maintenance cycles and pending part installations were prioritized for equipment scheduled to be transported overseas. I was also responsible for training marines in my section to take over Quality Control Chief billet due to receiving orders to another unit in June of 2021. I also completed Corporals course while at 1st LSB.
In June of 2021, I was ordered to Marine Air Traffic Control Squadron 1- detachment Alpha to serve as an Engineer Equipment Mechanic. Upon my arrival I was informed that the equipment I had been trained to maintain was not utilized or present at this detachment. I was able to learn new skill sets while stationed at Detachment Alpha such as maintaining Motor Transportation Equipment, generator and Power Supply Equipment as well as Air traffic Control Equipment. I completed over 64 Maintenance operations for the Motor Transport and utilities section, 200 hours of corrective and preventative maintenance checks and services for 70 motor transport assets, ensuring that a readiness level of 80% was constantly maintained. I engaged in multiple Unit events such as physical training competitions between all ranks present at the detachment, field training operations where training events were conducted for mock deployment operations and tactics, as well as being tasked with creating a new unit logo in an attempt to boost morale and create a unified image that displayed the purpose and functions of the detachment.
I completed my enlistment in August of 2022 where I was discharged Honorably and placed in the Inactive Reserve.

- Completion of Corporals Course (Leadership Course) where I was awarded with the “Gung Ho” award for my display of motivation and Espirit’ De Corps, completed March 19th, 2021.
- 80-hour field level maintenance training for RT240 V1-V3 Rough terrain Container Handler (RTCH)- October 4th, 2019.
- Marine Corps Martial Arts program- Promotions to Tan belt, Grey belt, Green Belt and Brown Belt.
- Certificate of Commendation from the Command staff of MACS 1, Company Kilo for my performance of duties from June 2021- August of 2022.
- Awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Good Conduct medal.
