Violinist Xiaoguo Burton enjoys a musical career as a teacher, along with orchestral and chamber music playing. Her early music education started with violin and piano lessons. Following her nine years training at the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Burton earned bachelor and master degrees in violin performance under full scholarships. As a devoted orchestral and chamber musician, Burton has performed with the Chicago Civic Orchestra, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Lawrence Chamber Orchestra,and has collaborated with renowned musicians, Yoyo Ma, Gil Shaham, Ricardo Muti, Jaap Von Zweden, and Joshua Bell to name a few.
Provide a well balanced musical education and positive learning environment for students of all ages and levels.
Leading a studio of more 50 students for weekly private lessons, music theory classes, and chamber music classes.
Each year, the students participate in concerto competitions, grade testing, state orchestral auditions.
