My name is Xinrui Liu and I am a current sophomore in the Village School, Houston, TX. I love drawing, coding, and music. I am interested in biology and neuroscience and have learned some topics in anatomy, physiology, brain functions, neurological disorders, psychological disorders, brain lesions, and neurolaw/ethics.
I have been working with my mentor, WangYang, a Ph.D. candidate in neuroscience, to prepare for the Brain Bee national Competition for a year now. Since Brain Bee is a comprehensive assessment on the understanding of human brains, I have already taken classes in brain anatomy, neurotransmitters, brain functions, neurological disorders, psychological disorders, brain lesions, and neurolaw/ethics. Our focus now is studying neurodegenerative diseases and their screening/testing mechanisms.
