Personal Information
I was born and raised on a small island, the youngest of 11 children. I became an orphan at a young age and entered a home for orphaned and abandoned children where I was able to receive an excellent education, learn English and receive scholarships to attend the university.
Although I had to overcome many difficulties, I took advantage of every opportunity to mature into an empowered woman. As part of my struggles and education, I was fortunate to meet and work with people from several countries and to appreciate the cultural differences in many parts of the world.
One of my best experiences was as a translator for a medical team from the United States providing health services to the people of my country.
