My name carried the song of the plains—Yahala, like a breeze gliding across the tall grasses, and Laponderosa, Llanera evoking the strength of the towering trees that dot the horizon. I was known across the flatlands for her profound connection to the land, a llanera whose soul danced to the rhythm of nature.
My hands, weathered but gentle, were skilled in both the art of the lasso and the melody of the harp. Many evenings, the sound of her harp echoed through the twilight, mingling with the calls of wild birds and the distant hum of cattle returning home.
