- Stock lab reagents, chemicals, materials, cleaning supplies, and detergents for the labs
- Refill distilled water, ethanol, and acetone containers
- Refill water baths and water pans in the incubator
- Wash and put away glassware
- Wipe down and clean lab equipment, countertops and benches
- Stock and refill pipette tips boxes
- Put away materials, chemicals, reagents and equipment back to the proper storage location
- Check and replace hazardous waste containers
- Ensure that biohazardous and chemical waste is packed and stored properly for disposal
- Supervise and monitor cryogenic and compressed gas supplies.
- Keep track of inventory of supplies, reagents, glassware and equipment
- Ensure that lab equipment is functioning properly
- Assist in entering and maintaining chemicals and lab reagents in the Safety Data Sheet portal
- Trained new Lab Maintenance Assistants to facilitate smooth transitions and operational readiness for each semester
