• Leading YouTube App Ads and Shorts Ads Monetization. Our mission is to make YT App Ads and Shorts Monetization SUCCESSFUL in a sustainable way with Demand/Inventory Growth, innovative product experience, privacy-safe and high-quality ads. Grew Shorts Ads from scratch to $2B+ within 2 years.
• Launched a set of zero-to-one products: YT in-app browser, Bumper (nonskippable) App Install Ads, cross-surface unified Brand Ads, Shorts Contextual Signals Infra and App Ads on TV device, etc.
• Grew team size from 10 to 30+ ppl within 2.5 years; Led a virtual team across orgs over 100+ ENG/PM/UX for Shorts Monetization acceleration.
• Worked on Ads Quality for 5 yrs, including Adbrain prediction models (pCTR, pCVR models, etc), user signals (click duration, repeats, creative quality) and auction pricing tunings.

• Intern projects: Bing.com Large‐scale Queries Clustering and Grouping; Worked closely with Microsoft Research Asia on the query clustering algorithm, and productionized their matlab library into C#, which incudes non-trivial work on the methodology understanding and refactoring/validation to simplify algorithm.
• full-time projects: Bing.com Image/Video Related Search Ranker Optimization. Worked closely with Microsft Research Asia on the woodshed work, which is related to knowledge graph entity similarity and using those generated signals into LSTM ranker.

Project: New Product Development － APP Recommendation System “Wandou Guess”. “Wandou Guess” is designed to recommend smart and relevant APPs for users according to their different downloads. It is one of the navigations of Wandoujia (Was one of the top 3 android mobile APP search entries in China).
