- Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures
- Train and coach production line employees
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Responsible for shift schedule huddles: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations
- Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Ensure a clean and safe work area
- Complete shift paper work
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
- Offer customers new merchandise and aim for sales
