Ms. Alonso attended the "Conrado Benitez" Higher Pedagogic
Institute of Cienfuegos (Instituto, Superior Pedagógico de Cienfuegos "Conrado Benitez") • Founded in 1979, the "Conrado Benitez" Higher Pedagogic Institute of Cienfuegos (currently part of the "Carlos Rafael Rodriguez" University of Cienfuegos)
is a public institution of higher education accredited by the
Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba. In order to be accepted into the s"Conrado Benitez" Higher Pedagogic Institute of
Cienfuegos, applicants must have High School diploma
(Bachiller). This is the equivalent of graduation from a college preparatory program at an acredited high school in the United States:
Ms. Alonso was awarded the degree of Licentiate in Education, Specialty:Elementary Education (Licenciado en Educación, Especialidad: Educación Primaria) by the "Conrado Benitez" Higher Pedagogic Institute of Cienfuegos on July 14, 2007. This is the equivalent of the U.S. degree of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education earned at a regionally acrediten institution of higher education in the United States.
Since then I have been working for 15 years at the Manuel Santiago Leiva primary school with children between the ages of 6 and 10. Teaching them values, skills and strategies to raise their comprehensive general culture and the quality of learning.
