I am a plant production agronomist with a Ph.D. in agricultural production and farming system and extensive experience in crop breeding and genetics. I am knowledgeable about crop production and breeding methods. I am capable of leading a research team to attain my employer's objectives.
The majority of the work involves the development and selection of novel horticultural crop varieties, such as tomato, pepper, melon, and watermelon. The majority of activities involve the selection of disease-resistant horticultural varieties, the development of novel functional markers, and the detection of hybrid seed purity using molecular markers.
Teach botanic courses, molecular biology experiments such as DNA extraction, PCR performance, Electrophoresis, Experiment data scoring and analysis ; Supervision of bachelor Students during their Thesis preparation.
I have completed nine scientific research projects, am the holder of three innovation patents, and have published 23 articles, of which 16 are SCI papers. In addition, I have assisted in production and selection of resistant cultivars as well as the development of twenty new functional molecular markers. I assisted in the selection of 30 germplasm resources with disease resistance alleles for tomato and 40 germplasm resources for melons.
I have learned about plant growth and development, as well as molecular biology techniques related to gene mapping and its functional characterization. I have expertise with plant hybridization and genetic population development, as well as DNA and RNA extraction, simple (PCR) reactions, real-time PCR (RT-PCR), Agarose and PAGE electrophoresis, vector construction, gene editing techniques (CRISPR/cas9), and yeast-two hybrid assays. In addition, I am familiar with Microsoft software, statistical software (SPSS and Statistix.9), DNA sequencing (DNAMAN), primer design software (Primer 5) and numerous databases, such as NCBI, Gramene, RAP-DB, Rice WarMap, CRISPR-Plant, etc.
I have completed nine scientific research initiatives and am the holder of four patents. I've authored 23 academic publications, of which 16 were SCI papers. In addition, I contributed to the crop germplasm innovation research conducted by my employer by developing approximately twenty novel functional molecular markers. I participated in the development and selection of thirty resistant tomato germplasm resources and forty melon germplasm resources. I've instructed postgraduates, undergraduates, and junior college students about molecular biotechnology technologies. I was selected for a number of talent competitions and honours. I'm the innovation and entrepreneurship supervisor of Suqian University, as well as the director of molecular research at the Shanghai Well seed company.
